Indiana Dunes National Park Events


10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Instruction in the Theater of the Visitor Center or the Indiana Dunes by Ron Seman (RonSeman.Com) for the Indiana Dunes National Park.


11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Walk around the Visitor Center and get guidance as we take photos of artwork, birds, bison, flags, humans, signs, vehicles and vehicles moving, wildflowers, and more

1:00 PM - 2:55 PM Private photography hiking adventure with ArtisticRecovery.org


3:00 PM - 5:30 PM Public, Photography hiking adventure at Bailly Homestead and Chellberg Farm (Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/zu6fRx25dPbyitur5)


5:45 PM - 10:00 PM Public, Extraordinary ADVENTURE including Sunset, Twilight, Night, Starlight, Moonlight, LED light, LASER light for photographic delight with military precision.

7:40 PM NIGHT officially begins.

We start hiking in front of the Pavilion to the east to the sidewalk.

We take the sidewalk south along side the west side of Dunes Creek to the first left turn. We cross a bridge. There is a sign for the Le Petit Fort on the left after we cross the bridge. This is known as the Beach Trail. (Google Maps:https://goo.gl/maps/FZRsLEWcuS7ngFF39)


We take the Beach Trail east to the Campground and through it all the way to Nature Center area (Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/uEA5qkw6oDb7AbZp7)


We take the Nature Center Trail east to Trail 10 and take it all the way to the Trail 2 Boardwalk. (Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/5zhud1pGVGp3Bam86)


We will sit or stand on the Trail 2 Boardwalk and discuss photography.

9:15 PM We hike the same way backwards to where are vehicles are parked by the Pavilion

10:00 PM We go home perhaps better than when we arrived.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?

1 - Weather info for clothing: IndianaDunesHiking.com/Weather-Forecasts

2 - Water

3 - Snacks

4 - Sense of adventure

5 - Various senses of humor

6 - Flashlight with red, green, or blue covering with cellophane (from Hobby Lobby as an example). If you don't have a cover just bring it and always point it down to the ground. HEAD LAMPS NOT RECOMMENDED. They just shine in everyone's eyes and then you can't see the night sky or birds in trees.

7 - Energy

8 - Dogs are not required but social friendly ones that can interact safely with humans and other dogs are welcome. Junk yard guard dogs named Killer are not recommended to come on THESE hikes. I will take them on a custom hike. Just email RonSemanEvent@Gmail.com
